David Coulthard, affectionately known as "DC," is a British motorsport icon from Scotland whose career has seamlessly transitioned from the Formula 1® grid to the global stage of motorsport media and ambassadorship. Across 15 seasons in Formula 1® between 1994 and 2008, he secured 13 Grand Prix™ victories, 62 podium finishes, and was runner-up in the 2001 World Championship with McLaren.

His journey began in karting at age 11, progressing through British Formula Ford and Formula 3000 before making his Formula 1® debut with Williams in 1994—stepping in after the tragic loss of Ayrton Senna. Coulthard earned his first F1® victory in Portugal the following year and moved to McLaren in 1996. He became a regular podium contender, with standout performances in 1997, 1998, and a title charge in 2001. After nearly a decade with McLaren, he joined Red Bull Racing in 2005, helping shape the team’s future and delivering its first-ever podium in 2006. Coulthard retired in 2008 but never left the sport. Today, he is a leading figure in Formula 1® media and one of the sport’s most trusted ambassadors. As a commentator, presenter, and behind-the-scenes influencer, Coulthard brings expert analysis, charisma, and a deep understanding of the sport to millions of fans worldwide.
